Saturdays Slimming World

Every Saturday at 9am and 11am, pop along to Slimming World at the Nursteed Centre. Lose weight and feel great. Join the gang and make new friends whilst receiving some great support to help you lose weight.


Thu 25 May The Role of Women in the First World War

Over at the Melksham Library on Thursday the 25th of May, a talk is taking place. Emma Shelley discusses the contribution of women during the period 1914 - 1918; not only in the household but also how they began to flex their muscles in the theatre of war. The event is free but you need to book as places are limited. You can call the library on 01225 702039.

Fri 26 May West Lavington Annual Parish Meeting

It's the annual West Lavington Parish Meeting on Friday the 26th of May, 7pm at the village hall.

It's your chance to meet local parish councillors and receive updates on footpaths, emergency planning, the youth club and provision for the elderly, planning, an update on councillor vacancies, playgrounds and the neighbourhood plan.

There's also a special talk from Guy Salkeld from the MoD on the conservation of the 'rare area' right on our doorstep.

Light refreshments - including wine - will be served at the meeting on Friday the 26th of May from 7pm.

Fri 26 May Tanya Taylor "The Redneck Woman"

Dead Kool Country Promotions brings you Bromham Country Music Club, your monthly dose of everything country, showcasing the best talent from around the UK Country music scene. From traditional cover artists and bands, to self penned singer-songwriters. First up is Tanya Taylor "The Redneck Woman". She's a Triple award winning vocalist, bringing you hits from the likes of Gretchen Wilson and Patsy Cline.

Tickets from are £5 to £7, with under 5s going free. Tickets are limited, book early to avoid disappointment at or via the Facebook page, Bromham Country Music Club.

There will be a bar, come and join the fun, western wear optional (but encouraged!)

Tue 30 May Book Launch: Lizzy Mumfrey

Please come and join the author Lizzy Mumfrey at Devizes Books for a celebration to introduce her debut novel 'Fall Out'. It runs from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday the 30th of May. Signed books will be on offer at a special launch price of £8.

5-10 Jun Into The Woods

TITCO, The Invitation Theatre Company, presents Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods, directed by Peter Nelson, at the Wharf Theatre from the 5th to the 10th of June. Tickets and more information online at

Sat 10 Jun Potterne Church Fete

The annual Potterne Church Fete takes place on Saturday the 10th of June from 2pm in George's Field, Potterne.

Bric-a-brac; a gardening stall; Cakes and Produce; China and Glass; Gifts; Bottle Tombola; Books; Pimms and Prosecco; Refreshments; and a Teddy Tombola. Plus a Bouncy Castle; Archery; Games; the Duck Race and other lots more fun. 

There's a grand draw too with a £100 first prize, splendid food hampers and other prizes too.

Sat 10 Jun Queen B

Paul Jackson fronts the worlds leading Queen tribute, Queen B. They've appeared on The One Show, and Paul will be playing to a 50,000 sell out crowd the week before he plays in Market Lavington on Saturday the 10th of June.

Thu 15 Jun Cupcake Day

The Alzheimer's Society have organised a Cupcake Day on Thursday the 15th of June to 'Rise up Against Dementia'. On this day, Coral Cove are joining in with this national event and will not only be selling cupcakes but also offering cake decorating to the children. All monies raised will go to the charity, helping them to 'create a better world for people affected by dementia today, but also to find a cure for tomorrow.' Everyone's welcome to join in this event, but if children wish to play in the centre then entry charges will apply.

It runs from 10am 'til 5pm on Thursday the 15th of June at Coral Cove Play and Adventure Centre.

16-17 Jun HFT Mini Music festival

HFT is a learning disability charity based in Rowde They are holding their 7th Annual Mini Music Festival to celebrate the learning disability week. On Friday the 16th the festival runs from 5 'til 8pm, to include the Rowde Drama group production and local group and friends of Fantasy Radio, '98 Reasons'. The Saturday event will run from 11am 'til 7.15 and include The Dark Horse band, MGB and 5 Wheel Drive.

Tickets are from £2.50 For Friday, £3.50 for Saturday, available at the gate.

Fri 30 Jun The Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience

The Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience comes to Trowbridge on Friday the 30th of June. Expect to hear all the hits, from Much Too Young to Garth's latest releases, taking in all of Garth's favourites such as Thunder Rolls, 2 Pina Coladas, The Dance, Callin' Baton Rouge, and of course Friends In Low Places.

Grab your Stetson and pull on your boots, and enjoy the music of one of the world’s most prolific and prestigious Country Music Artists, as Scott Welsby (The Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience) brings you all the energy and spirit Garth’s music is famed for.

Sat 1 Jul Summer Sounds Festival

Market Lavington Music & Comedy Club presents its first ever festival in a day - eight live bands in a day!

Enjoy music from The Cleverly Brothers, People Like Us, a Robbie Williams Tribute, RSI, The Funk Bunnies, The Ukey D'Ukes, The Worried Men and an Elvis Presley Tribute.

Also, a beer and cider festival, food stalls, wine tasting, guest of honour the paralympic swimmer Stephannie Millward MBE, who was educated just down the road in Corsham, plus much more.

Live music on Saturday the 1st of July from 2 'til 12pm.

Sat 8 Jul Saddleback Blues Festival

The Saddleback Blues Festival takes place on Saturday the 8th of July at the Devizes Sports Club. It features great live music from Jo Harman, The Boom Band, Blue Dog, Elles Bailey and Lisa Mills. Food and drink available all day. Adult tickets are £25, family tickets are £60. It's all in support of Julia's House. UK mental health charity Careif, Devizes Sports Club and Devizes Rugby Club. Sat 23 Sep Take That Live

Market Lavington Music & Comedy Club proudly presents Take That Live, the country's leading Take That tribute band.

They will be performing a two hour non-stop show featuring 60 minutes of Take That, 30 minutes of Robbie, and 30 minutes of Take That with Robbie. All this plus brilliant local band People Like Us as support.
