Saturdays Slimming World

Every Saturday at 9am and 11am, pop along to Slimming World at the Nursteed Centre. Lose weight and feel great. Join the gang and make new friends whilst receiving some great support to help you lose weight.


Sat 24 Jun Jumble Sale

Wilsford’s annual jumble sale is taking place on Saturday the 24th of June from 2 'til 4pm in Wilsford Village Hall. There will be lots of stalls including white elephant, so why not come along and grab yourself a bargain! Everyone is welcome over in Wilsford, Saturday the 24th of June.

Thu 29 Jun Cemetery Open Day

On Thursday the 29th of June, Devizes Town Council will be holding an open day in Devizes Cemetery.

The purpose of the day is to give visitors an opportunity to trace family graves and view the burial records, which date back to 1878. Members of the Devizes branch of the Wiltshire Family History Centre will also be available to provide advice and can help research your Wiltshire roots.

If you are interested in family history or have any issues you want to raise about the Cemetery please come along between 9am and 3pm.

Sun 25 Jun European Serenade

OK, hands up who remembers how to dance around a Maypole from their school days?

There will be a chance to have another go on Sunday the 25th of June in Hillworth Park from 2pm as part of the Town's Twinning Weekend celebrations. As ever the Park Cafe will be serving hot drinks, snacks and ice creams.

This is a free, family friendly event organised by Devizes Town Council and the Twinning Association.

Fri 30 Jun Manley Hopkinson

On Friday the 30th of June there's a fun evening taking place at Devizes Sports Club in aid of local schoolgirl Sophie’s fundraising efforts. She's raising funds for her trip to Tanzania in 2018 with Lavington School and Camps International.

The trip will give Sophie and other students the chance to do charity and environmental work in a community school out in Tanzania. As part of Sophie's fundraising, she is organising a talk by a highly regarded motivational and leadership speaker Manley Hopkinson.

Manley consults on leadership skills to high performing sports teams and corporate organisations in a light-hearted and enjoyable way which should make for a fun evening. If you are involved in coaching or team management you should find the evening very rewarding.

Fri 30 Jun The Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience

The Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience comes to Trowbridge on Friday the 30th of June. Expect to hear all the hits, from Much Too Young to Garth's latest releases, taking in all of Garth's favourites such as Thunder Rolls, 2 Pina Coladas, The Dance, Callin' Baton Rouge, and of course Friends In Low Places.

Grab your Stetson and pull on your boots, and enjoy the music of one of the world’s most prolific and prestigious Country Music Artists, as Scott Welsby (The Ultimate Garth Brooks Experience) brings you all the energy and spirit Garth’s music is famed for.

Sat 1 Jul Time for Tea

Time for Tea is an afternoon tea in Worton and Marston Village Hall in aid of Julia's House and village hall funds. Adult tickets are just £5 in advance, children £1, to include tea or coffee, sandwiches and home-made cakes. There will also be village craft and produce stalls, and a raffle.

It gets under way from 3pm on Saturday the 1st of July over at the village hall in Worton.

Sat 1 Jul Summer Sounds Festival

Market Lavington Music & Comedy Club presents its first ever festival in a day - eight live bands in a day!

Enjoy music from The Cleverly Brothers, People Like Us, a Robbie Williams Tribute, RSI, The Funk Bunnies, The Ukey D'Ukes, The Worried Men and an Elvis Presley Tribute.

Also, a beer and cider festival, food stalls, wine tasting, guest of honour the paralympic swimmer Stephannie Millward MBE, who was educated just down the road in Corsham, plus much more.

Live music on Saturday the 1st of July from 2 'til 12pm.

Sun 2 Jul Zenne Kober

Award Winner Zenne Kober is ranked as one of the Top Female Country Music Performers in the UK, based in the northeast of England. A Powerful Voice and Gutsy Style as well as being an accomplished guitarist with the ability to perform in a more laid back acoustic style. Zenne is proving to be a hit on the country scene throughout the UK. Zenne's passion for music clearly shows in her performance, retaining the traditional essence and true feel of Country Music. She captures this beautifully within her own Compositions. Zenne is a huge assett to British country music.

She performs at the Woodborough Country Music Club on Sunday the 2nd of July. The event includes a raffle and free hot dogs for children.

Wed 5 Jul Devizes Opendoors Quiz

Devizes Opendoors are supporting local homeless and vulnerable people with their Quiz Night on Wednesday thr 5th of July from 7.30 for an 8pm start at The Nursteed Centre. Sat 8 Jul A Night at the Movies

Saturday the 8th of July sees a fantastic family friendly evening of stirring classical music and sound tracks from films. 'A Night at the Movies' is presented by Wessex Concert Orchestra who enjoy regularly performing in Devizes.

This year's programme will include soundtracks from Star Wars, Gladiator, and Jaws, plus some great classics used in films such as Wagner's Ride of The Valkyries, Beethoven's Symphony no 7 and much more.

Tickets are £12, £10 for concessions, and just £5 for children under 16, available from Devizes Books, and on the door. Saturday the 8th of July for 'A Night at the Movies'.

Sat 8 Jul Family Fun Day

The Devizes Scooter Club is hosting a Family Fun Day at The Cavalier pub, with live music and an open mic session. There will be a BBQ, bar, bouncy castle, and fun and games for all including a raffle and cake stalls. It kicks off at 12 midday on Saturday the 8th of July at The Cavalier Pub here in town, all in aid of Devizes Opportunity Centre

Sat 8 Jul Village Fun Day

The Bishops Cannings Village Fun Day is a FREE family friendly event to be held on Saturday the 8th of July between 2.30 and 5.30pm. There will be stalls, refreshments, vintage vehicles, pony rides, bouncy castle, the pets corner, craft activities and displays of country dancing and singing. All proceeds to St Marys Church. The annual 5,000 metre dash will also take place at 3.30pm - runners in all categories are welcome. It takes place at Bishops Cannings Primary School, The Street, Bishops Cannings, SN10 2LD.

Sat 8 Jul Saddleback Blues Festival

The Saddleback Blues Festival takes place on Saturday the 8th of July at the Devizes Sports Club. It features great live music from Jo Harman, The Boom Band, Blue Dog, Elles Bailey and Lisa Mills. Food and drink available all day. Adult tickets are £25, family tickets are £60. It's all in support of Julia's House. UK mental health charity Careif, Devizes Sports Club and Devizes Rugby Club. Sun 9 Jul Classic Vehicle Show

The Friends of the Atwell Wilson Motor Museum will be holding their Annual Classic Vehicle Show in the grounds of the Museum at Stockley Lane in Calne on Sunday the 9th July from 10 'til 4.30pm. This year's special feature is 50 years of the Ford Cortina 1600E. The Museum's Annual Draw for a Mazda MX5 Sportscar will also be taking place on the day. Find out more at

Sun 16 Jul Dave Sheriff

Dave Sheriff performs at the Woodborough Country Music Club on Sunday the 16th of July.

The highlight of Dave's career in the music business has to be his appearance on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville in June 2000 where he performed his favorite Merle Haggard song 'Today I Started Loving You Again' at the invitation of the late great Porter Wagoner to a capacity audience. He had worked previously with Porter on a duet that Dave wrote about his late father called 'I Couldn't Find The Words To Say Goodbye' which they recorded at Sound Control Studios in Nashville together with the legendary Jordanaires.

The event over in Woodborough includes a raffle and free hot dogs for children.

Sat 29 Jul Shootin' the Crow

The great trio 'Shootin' The Crow' create old timey country rock meets Rock n' Roll as they play their own way. Don't try putting a label on it, they are what they are! Guitar, mandolin, banjo/guitar-jo and vocals and there is nothing they can't get away with. They perform in the Bromham Social Centre on Saturday the 29th of June. The event includes a raffle. Tickets are £7 for adults, £8 on the door, and under 18s get in free.



Sat 23 Sep Take That Live

Market Lavington Music & Comedy Club proudly presents Take That Live, the country's leading Take That tribute band.

They will be performing a two hour non-stop show featuring 60 minutes of Take That, 30 minutes of Robbie, and 30 minutes of Take That with Robbie. All this plus brilliant local band People Like Us as support.
