First Saturday Each Month Wiltshire Farmers Market

On the first Saturday of the month it's the Wiltshire Farmers Market. It takes place in the Market Square, Devizes from 9am 'til 1pm with local artisan food, crafts and top quality goods available to purchase directly from the producers.

Saturdays Slimming World

Every Saturday at 9am and 11am, pop along to Slimming World at the Nursteed Centre. Lose weight and feel great. Join the gang and make new friends whilst receiving some great support to help you lose weight.

Sat 2 Dec Black Tie Winter Ball

Market Lavington Music & Comedy Club Presents a stunning black tie winter ball on Saturday the 2nd of December.

A three course meal, dancing to Simply Swing, a seven-piece swing band as featured on Later With Jools Holland, and Strictly Come Dancing. Special guest of honour Stephanie Millward MBE, the 9 time Paralympian Medal Winner, will be there too, and there's set to be a charity auction.

Fri 24 Nov Christmas Festival

Christmas comes to town on Friday the 24th of November with the 2017 Christmas Festival.

You'll find music and performance as The Market Place will host entertainment from 2pm including Tamsin Quin, Fraser Tilley, Devizes Town Band and Fantasy Radio, broadcasting live.

Father Christmas leads the Lantern Parade from the old post office, starting at 6.15pm. The beautiful lantern parade will wind its way via Sheep Street and Long Street to the Market Place. Follow this magical spectacle with hundreds of lanterns made by local schools, community groups and individuals to the big light switch on by the Real Father Christmas at 6.45pm in the Market Place.

Christmas markets in The Market Place and The Corn Exchange all day long will be offering Christmas gifts and decorations, food and drink. Come and be part of this wonderful event and breathe in the true community spirit of the festive season.

Sat 25 Nov Annalee West

Annalee West performs at the Bromham Country Music Club on Saturday the 25th of November. Annalee is a talented singer-songwriter, gathering momentum on the UK Country scene, with a recent appearance in Brean over the summer. Annalee sings classic and modern country hits.

This week at the Devizes Country Music Club, Ben Thompson.

Country Music is Ben's passion. He is particularly fond of the older country such as Merle Haggard, George Jones, Waylon Jennings and Charlie Rich. also enjoys music from George Strait. Josh Turner, and Garth Brooks.

Fri 1 Dec Charity Salsa Night

There's a Charity Salsa Night coming to town, raising funds for Dance2Learn. Entry is £7, with beginners and improvers' classes, and a chance to enjoy some great latin music. It runs from 7.30 'til 10.30pm on Friday the 1st of December at the Devizes Sports Club.

Fri 1 Dec Christmas Market

Christmas comes The Wharf on Friday the 1st of December with a great Christmas Market at The Wharf Tea Rooms. It runs from 5pm 'til 8.30 with a complementary mince pie and milled wine! Fri 1 Dec Ladies Night

On Friday 1st December, for one night only, The Consti Club in Chippenham is holding a ladies night, raising money and awareness for two cancer charities. 

The highlight of this special night will be a hand picked selection of Chippenham men reconstructing the “leave your hat on” dance from the film The Full Monty.

Town residents aged between twenty and sixty will be performing the dance to raise money and promote awareness of “Prostate Cancer UK” which is a charity that actively promotes itself by inviting men and woman to get involved to prevent cancer being a killer. Also, the local charity “It’s In The Bag” based in the South West and run by a group of testicular cancer survivors whose mission is to raise awareness and to get men checking themselves regularly will receive a donation too.

Between them, both charities will receive 100% of every pound raised on the night and from ticket sales. As well as the “One Off” dance, the night will have an 80s themed disco and some surprises that could leave you with images that aren’t for the faint hearted! To round off what will be a memorable night, the ladies raffle could leave you with a few extra surprises in your Christmas stocking as well.

Sat 2 Dec Christmas Tree Sale & Christmas Market

On Saturday the 2nd of December from 9 'til 1pm the village of Bishops Cannings hosts its annual Christmas Tree Sale and Christmas Market. St Mary's church will be packed with artisan stalls selling handmade crafts, Christmas gifts and food. Take a tour of the Bell Tower and see the extraordinary view of some of Wiltshire's finest countryside from the top! Visit Santa's Grotto, try your hand at Christmas crafts whilst the choir sings Christmas carols, and complete your festive decorations with a premium grade Nordmann Fir Christmas Tree, at very competitive prices! Plenty of festive refreshments, free entry and parking, with all proceeds to the local community.

Sat 2 Dec St Joseph's Nursery Christmas Fayre

St Joseph’s Nursery in Devizes is holding a Fundraising Christmas Fayre in the Town Hall on Saturday the 2nd of  December from 10 am until 1 pm. There will be handmade craft stalls including bespoke silver jewellery, locally made honey, luxury handmade cakes, knitted toys, hats and scarves, cards and gifts, ceramics, wood crafted items and an exclusive launch of craft beer by local micro-brewer Devitera. Nursery stalls include pre-loved children’s clothes, face painting, toys and jars. Refreshments will be available too, and entry is by voluntary donation.

Wed 6 Dec Prize Bingo

It's the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Prize Bingo night on Wednesday the 6th of December. Family fun prize bingo and live music, featuring The Melksham Ukulele Social Club. It's all in aid of the air ambulance charity, entry is by donation. Five games of bingo are played, and there's a raffle too. Wiltshire Air Ambulance Christmas Cards and Diaries will also be available to purchase on the night. It takes place at The Exchange Club here in The Corn Exchange, 6pm for a 7pm start.

Thu 7 Dec Moonrakers Comedy Night

Devizes Moonrakers Comedy Night returns for December with special guest M/C  Wil Hodgson. Chippenham's punk storyteller and Perrier Award winner returns, as seen on Russell Howards Good News and heard on BBC Radio 4.

Opening is Ryan McDonnell, a Belfast boy, no stranger to laughs in his home town and is currently building up quite a reputation for himself on the UK comedy circuit. 

Headlining is Paul Savage, who started performing comedy in 2007. Since then he has performed all over Britain, from the highlands of Scotland to the bottom tip of Cornwall, and hundreds of places in between. In 2013, he did a tour of English speaking venues in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. 


There will be special guests too, and it takes place on Thursday the 7th of December, 8pm for an 8.30 start, at the Bear Hotel Cellar Bar. Tickets from The Bear Hotel, Devizes Books, The British Lion, Southgate Inn and The Vaults. Also available online at WeGotTickets.com and on the door.

Sat 9 Dec Myths and Legends

Come along to the Wessex Concert Orchestra's ‘Myths and Legends’ Winter Concert at the Corn Exchange, Devizes, 7.30pm on Saturday 9th December. Hear the mysteries from German and Danish mythology of the striking Lorelei as depicted by Bruch, the evil Elf King according to Schubert, along with the soothing Evening Prayer from Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. There will also be music by Mussorgksy in ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’

LA Country perform at the Bromham Country Music Club on Saturday the 9th of December.

After joining forces in 2010, Lottie & Allen have gone from strength to strength working all over the world on cruise ships, hotels and international festivals. Their love for country music really shows on stage and that’s when it comes alive with great humour and audience interaction.

Sun 10 Dec Santa Run

The Julia's House Santa Run returns this Christmas, on Sunday the 10th of December. The sponsored run, in aid of the children's hospice charity, sets off from Hillworth Park at 10am with a choice of three routes, 1.5km, 3km or 5km, making it ideal for all ages and abilities.

Everyone who takes part in the event will get a free Santa suit to wear as they walk, jog or run the route, raising awareness and funds for Julia’s House.

Join the Devizes Country Music Club as they celebrate their first Christmas with the hugely talented Zenne Kober.

Award Winner Zenne is ranked as one of the top female country music performers in the UK, based in the northeast of England. A powerful voice and gutsy style as well as being an accomplished guitarist with the ability to perform in a more laid back acoustic style. Zenne is proving to be a Hit on the country scene throughout the UK.
