Thursdays Salsa

The Devizes Salsa Classes on a Thursday Night have moved! They are now at Needham House in Victoria Road, so pop along for the best Salsa fun in town, 7.30pm on Thursday evenings.

Saturdays Slimming World

Every Saturday at 9am and 11am, pop along to Slimming World at the Nursteed Centre. Lose weight and feel great. Join the gang and make new friends whilst receiving some great support to help you lose weight.

First Saturday Each Month Wiltshire Farmers Market

On the first Saturday of the month it's the Wiltshire Farmers Market. It takes place in the Market Square, Devizes from 9am 'til 1pm with local artisan food, crafts and top quality goods available to purchase directly from the producers.

Sat 30 Jun LavingtonFest 

Market Lavington Music & Comedy Club presents LavingtonFest on Saturday the 30th of June.

7 bands in one day, a beer and cider fest, food and craft stalls and much much more. Tickets are £20 per adult, £50 for a family ticket of 4 until the 1st of May.

All bands are indoors, food and stalls outside, so the weather won't ruin the day

This Way Up - local party covers band
The Ukey D’Ukes - unique quirky vocal group
Big Mama Band - incredible voice of Claire and her great band
T Roze & Co - deep soulful band not to be missed

The London Belles - incredible three ladies vocal rock & roll

A must see for all music lovers, starting at 3pm, but with wrist bands you are free to come and go as you please.

Sat 14 Apr Tamara Young in Concert

Renowned harpist Tamara Young returns to Chirton for the first concert of the 2018 season. Her imaginative programme promises to live up to its title 'Fireworks of Colour'.

Advance concert tickets are available at £15 (£17.50 on the door), and include a glass of wine or soft drink.

30 Mar - 15 Apr Welcome Aboard The Admiral 

The Canal and River Trust Floating Visitor Centre is located by the Cafe at Lock 44 on the Caen Hill Flight.

Come aboard to view archive photos, view the history of the canal restoration, maps, family trails, free children's activities, and even healthy duck food. Open from 11am to 4pm subject to the weather and volunteer availability.

Sat 21 Apr Cider & Beer Festival

There's a Cider and Beer Festival taking place at The Longs Arms Steeple Ashton on Saturday the 21st of April. It's the 10th anniversary of the festival, with a range of great music to suit everyone throughout the day and a wonderful selection of cider & beer to suit even the fussiest of palates. This event has proven time and time again to be a huge success.

To 22 Apr 18 Exhibition: The Winds and Words of War

EXHIBITION: The Winds and Words of War. WWI Posters and Prints from the San Antonio Public Library Collection.

This evocative exhibition of First World War American propaganda posters is on a two year tour of Europe and will be in Devizes until the 22nd of April 2018. Wiltshire Museum here in Devizes is the only UK venue.

Mon 23 Apr Heroes & Villains

Monday the 23rd of April sees a concert featuring a fantastic selection of music from stage, screen and TV, depicting well known Heroes and Villains. There's something for everyone... Superman, The Godfather, Bonnie & Clyde and more.

The music will be performed by the superb Devizes Town Band, a 45 piece windband, and complemented by the wonderful voice of Jenni Scott. The concert is in aid of Devizes Alzheimer's Support and the band itself.

Thu 26 Apr How NOT to Write a Novel

On Thursday the 26th of April at Melksham library there's an opportunity to learn how NOT to write a novel.

Meet John Doyle, a local author with four published novels to his name. In this light-hearted talk John will tell us about the trials and tribulations of researching, writing and getting a novel published. This event is free but booking is required. Sat 28 Apr Trip to see Dippy the Dinosaur

Wiltshire Museum is organising a coach trip to see Dippy the Dinosaur at Dorset County Museum in Dorchester, one of the museum's Wessex Museums partners.

Tickets are £18 for adults, £9 for children under 16. Booking essential. The cost is for the coach only, all other fees have to be paid on the day. Entry to Dippy is free, and entry to the Dorset County Museum is free for WANHS members.

Sat 28 Apr Devizes School Open House

Go back in time at Devizes School on Saturday the 28th of April. It's another of the school's open events, and it runs from 10am to 3pm. Come along to visit the cellars with local historian John Girvan. Look at old school yearbooks, photos and memorabilia. Visit the World War 1 tearoom with snacks served by suffragettes. Lots of homemade cakes will be on offer, and Mac's Theatre School will provide a showcase of songs from musicals in the afternoon.

The event is free of charge, and you'll be able to visit the historic Southbroom House and new 6th Form block. Any donations on the day towards the cleaning of the Maria Heathcote painting will be gratefully received.


Mon 7 May Lions May Fayre

The Lions May Fair is back for 2018 as they take over the Market Place on Bank Holiday Monday the 7th of May, with family entertainment, live music, Punch and Judy, Children’s rides, stalls, a steam engine, food and fun for all the family.

Mon 7 May Big Breakfast & Plant Sale

Breakfasts will be served from 8.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. at the Big Breakfast & Plant Sale at St Andrew's Church on Monday the 7th of May. This year there will be plants for sale as well. Just come along for a great start to your Bank Holiday Monday. More information online at

Sat 19 May Purely Presley

Market Lavington Music & Comedy Club presents PURELEY PRESLEY on Saturday the 19th of May from 7pm at the Market Lavington Community Hall.

Paul Larcombe is officially the best Elvis in Europe, and officially one of the top 3 in the world. He has also played for the Queen on no fewer than 3 occasions as well as hundreds of TV appearances. He will be playing with a 7 piece band and backing singers.

This truly is a unique opportunity to see someone of this quality playing locally, so don't miss it!
