Regular Events

Tuesdays Men's Shed

Men's Shed runs every Tuesday from 10 'til 1. It's open to men and women at Needham House in Victoria Road, Devizes, and it's a chance for you to work on community projects, or one of your own.

Wednesdays Devizes Children’s Choir

On Wednesdays from 4.30 to 5.30pm the Devizes Children’s Choir takes place at the Baptist Church Hall Sheep Street. This is a children’s community choir for children from Year 1 upwards. They have been running for just under a year and their aim is to sing for fun and to go out and about in the community. The team sings at local events in the community, and at places like care homes. There are currently 24 children but would like to increase their numbers into their second year. For more information or to get involved call Heather Flower on 01380 722013.

Thursdays Salsa

The Devizes Salsa Classes on a Thursday Night have moved! They are now at Needham House in Victoria Road, so pop along for the best Salsa fun in town, 7.30pm on Thursday evenings.

Saturdays Slimming World

Every Saturday at 9am and 11am, pop along to Slimming World at the Nursteed Centre. Lose weight and feel great. Join the gang and make new friends whilst receiving some great support to help you lose weight.

First Saturday Each Month Wiltshire Farmers Market

On the first Saturday of the month it's the Wiltshire Farmers Market. It takes place in the Market Square, Devizes from 9am 'til 1pm with local artisan food, crafts and top quality goods available to purchase directly from the producers.


Tue 3 Sep The Mystery of Agatha Christie

At St Andrew's Church Hall, Long Street, Devizes on Tuesday the 3rd of September, from 7.30pm, the Ladies Evening Group will be having a talk by Lynda Warren into Agatha Christie's curious life, books and characters, including her disappearance and two marriages. Sat 7 Sep Chirton Concerts

The Chirton Concerts are back, and on Saturday the 7th of September, The Daunt Trio pay their first visit to Chirton with a varied and hugely entertaining programme of music for bassoon, flute and clarinet. Full details at

Sat 14 Sep Macmillan Coffee & Classics

On Saturday the 14th of September, it's the Coffee and Classic cars for Macmillan event. 

A chance for you to bring your classic car, bike or scooter and join the team for a coffee. Or just come along and have a look at the show, buy a coffee and a raffle ticket for this worthy cause. It takes place at Bromham Social Club from 10am 'til 1pm.

Sat 14 Sep Here We Are

Chloe Jordan (soprano) and Andrew Hurst (classical guitarist) share a concert of solos from Renaissance times through Bach to songs and music from shows and film scores in the show Here We Are. It takes place on Saturday the 14th of September at The Corn Exchange from 7,30pm. Tickets are available from Devizes Books and MadArt in The Little Brittox.

Sun 15 Sep Plant Fair

HFT Rowde are holding a Plant Fair on Sunday the 15th of September between 11am and 3pm.

HFT is a charity that supports adults with learning difficulties through day service opportunities and residential care, and the Plant Fair will help provide funds to support the team.

It takes place at HFT Rowde, Furlong Close, Marsh Lane, Rowde, SN10 4EU.

It's the perfect time of year to acquire some new plants and get them established in the ground to flourish and give you much pleasure for years to come, so why not pop along!

Tue 17 Sep Going to Blazes

At St Andrew's Church Hall, Long Street, Devizes on Tuesday the 17th of September, from 7.30pm, the Ladies Evening Group will be having a talk by John Craig on his time as former Wiltshire Fire Chief. All ladies welcome. Find out more at

Thu 19 Sep Oxjam

With October being Oxfam's Oxjam Month, the Oxfam shop in Devizes will be holding live entertainment from three very talented local musicians throughout the day.

Claire Kearley - local talent that's been on the local circuit for years playing well-known cover songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and today!

Tamsin Quin - local country/folk singer/songwriter. Tamsin has been working on hard preparing for her new album release and is a force to be reckoned with. Definitely one to watch out for!

Andrew Hurst - you'll have seen this one busking along the Brittox and Little Brittox. Classical trained guitarist who also offers lessons!

Come on down and support these local artists, Oxfam and Oxjam in their fight to end poverty.

Fri 20 Sep Comedy @ The Corn Exchange

There's Comedy @ The Corn Exchange on Friday the 20th of September, with a fantastic line up of comics; rising stars Tom Lucy and Tanya Lee Davis and the seasoned impressionist Mike Osman and stand up Keith Farnan. Always a great night out.

Sat 21 Sep White Horse Walk

On Saturday 21st September 2019, groups of families, friends and colleagues will be walking, running or ambling their way around a 13 mile circular route at Blackland Lakes, Calne, in order to raise money for the life-saving Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The Ambulance provides a vital service to the people of Wiltshire (and surrounding areas) but receives no government funding and relies on public support to save lives.

23-28 Sep Turn of the Screw

Turn of the Screw is the latest show at The Wharf Theatre, running from Monday the 23rd of September to Saturday the 28th at 7.30pm

Written by Henry James, adapted for stage by Ken Whitmore, and directed by Lewis Cowen.

Set in a sprawling manor house in Bly in the first half of the 19th Century, Henry James’ classic The Turn of the Screw is one of the most famous ghost stories in the English language. This haunting adaptation is not for the nervous!

Tue 1 Oct Wiltshire Beekeeping

At St Andrew's Church Hall, Long Street, Devizes on Tuesday the 3rd of September, from 7.30pm, the Ladies Evening Group will be having a talk by Chris Rawlings, who spends his days travelling around the Wiltshire countryside looking after his bees, collecting swarms, giving talks and selling honey products. All ladies welcome. Wed 16 Oct Devizes Town Twinning Association AGM

 The Annual General Meeting of the town's Twinning Association will be held on Wednesday the 16th of October to receive details of the activities, accounts and to vote on the re-appointment of officers. Guests will enjoy cheese and wine on conclusion of the meeting...and it takes place in the Cheese Hall of The Town Hall from 7.30pm - Wednesday the 16th of October.
